What is email append?+

Email append is the process of taking a contact record that has name and company (or name and postal address) but no email address, and matching it against a reference database to add the email. Iscope matches against our 60-million-contact Bizline Direct database. Typical append rates are 70 to 85% on B2B records, 50 to 70% on B2C.

What match rate can I expect?+

It depends on the input quality and the audience. For B2B records with clean name + company data, expect 70 to 85%. For consumer records with name + postal address, expect 50 to 70%. The free match analysis (step 02 of the process) tells you the exact rate for your specific file before you commit.

How quickly is the work done?+

Standard turnaround is five business days from approval. Free match analysis is delivered within 24 hours of file receipt. Rush turnaround (48 hours) is available for an expedite fee.

Is the appended data CAN-SPAM compliant?+

Yes. All emails appended through this service are sourced and maintained in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Compliance documentation is included with delivery. You remain responsible for sender identification, accurate headers, and opt-out handling in your campaigns.

What format should I send my file in?+

CSV is standard. We also accept Excel (.xlsx), tab-delimited, JSON, and direct exports from Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, and other major CRMs / ESPs. All file transfer is over encrypted SFTP or secure upload portal.

Is this a one-time job or ongoing?+

Both. Many clients run one-time appends for specific projects (post-merger, ABM list build, event capture). Others retain Iscope quarterly to run hygiene and enrichment against records added since the last cycle — keeping the database evergreen.
